The XIOS Hogeschool Limburg is an autonomous institution of higher Education. In Flanders, the term "Hogeschool" means an institution of higher education (College or Polytechnic).

The XIOS Hogeschool Limburg is a partner in the “Association of University and Hogescholen Limburg” with Hasselt University (UHasselt).

The XIOS Hogeschool Limburg comprises 4 departements situated on campuses in Hasselt and Diepenbeek, adjacent to the Limburg University Campus. They offer a place of study to more or less then 3000 students. Our newly built premises in the vicinity of Hasselt University, functional and ultramodern, have been a deliberate choice. We think it is in the best interest of our students that co-operation between universities and institutes of higher education leads to an efficient use of new technologies and multimedia applications.
